Morocco Itinerary of 7 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving in the beautiful Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel through the stunning Dades landscapes towards the spectacular Todra Gorges. Enjoy a walk through the canyon before continuing to Erfoud and Merzouga. In the afternoon, ride camels across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy a magical sunset before spending the night in a traditional desert camp.
Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert
Spend a full day discovering the Sahara Desert. Visit nomadic families, explore Khamlia village and enjoy traditional Gnawa music. Discover the desert’s unique landscapes, including fossil sites and black volcanic rocks. Relax and enjoy another peaceful evening near the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Leave the desert behind and travel through Rissani, Alnif, and Nkob. Continue through the lush Draa Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Taznakht – Taroudant
Visit the hidden Fint Oasis before continuing through Taznakht, known for its Berber carpets. Arrive in Taroudant, often called the “Little Marrakech,” where you can explore its historic walls and lively souks.
Day 6: Taroudant – Agadir – Essaouira

Day 7: Essaouira – Marrakech
