10 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Casablanca - Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
We begin our tour in Casablanca with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Then we travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. After sightseeing, we head to our accommodation for an आरामing overnight stay.
Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we travel towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue city located in the Rif Mountains. Along the way, we enjoy scenic landscapes and charming villages. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the medina, walk through its blue-painted streets, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
We depart for the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where we explore well-preserved mosaics and historical remains. Then we continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to visit its main monuments. In the afternoon, we drive to Fez and check into a traditional riad in the medina.
Day 4: Guided Tour in Fez
We spend the day exploring Fez with a local guide. We visit the ancient medina, Al Qarawiyyin University, the tanneries, and traditional souks. Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
We travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forest where wild monkeys live. We continue through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga. In the evening, enjoy a camel ride across the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 6: Explore Merzouga Desert
Today is dedicated to exploring the Sahara Desert. We visit nomadic families, discover the black desert, and explore the area around Merzouga. You may also visit the seasonal lake and enjoy optional activities like sandboarding. In the evening, relax and enjoy traditional music and dinner in a peaceful desert setting.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After sunrise in the desert, we head to Rissani, a traditional market town. Then we continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Later, we drive to the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations, where we spend the night.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
We travel towards Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert.” We visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying breathtaking views before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
Day 9: Guided Tour in Marrakech
