Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
We’ll start early from Fes and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Visit the cedar forest of Azrou to see wild Barbary monkeys before continuing toward Midelt for lunch. We’ll then cross the Ziz Valley to reach the desert town of Merzouga. Today we’ll continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location.
