8 Days from Tangier To Marrakech Desert Tour

Day 1 : Tangier port – Chefchaouen

Upon your arrival at Tangier port, we’ll pick you up and embark on a journey across the stunning Rif mountains towards Tetoun. The route offers breathtaking landscapes. Eventually, we’ll arrive in Chefchaouen, a charming mountain village painted in blue hues, nestled beneath the dramatic peaks of the Rif mountains. Chefchaouen boasts a unique blend of Moroccan and Andalusian influences. The old medina, with its narrow lanes converging on Plaza Uta el-Hammam and the restored kasbah, is a delightful exploration. Enjoy an overnight stay in accommodation with a panoramic view, allowing you to relish the natural beauty and the refreshing breeze.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, our journey continues towards Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other Rif villages. Explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, delving into the archaeological site that narrates Moroccan history. Move on to Meknes, a city with a rich 17th-century heritage. Enjoy lunch and a stroll around the historical medina walls, Bab el Mansour, and visit the shrine of Moulay Ismail. Finally, head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Fes (Guided tour)

Start your day with breakfast in your riad before embarking on an exploration of Fes, the oldest city in Morocco. Wander through its alleys and small streets, beginning with the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, and the first Mellah constructed in the 16th century. Visit cultural and historical sites, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, Tanneries, Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, explore the tiles cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz avalley – Erfoud – Merzouga – night in a camp

After breakfast in your hotel you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive at Merzouga on the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you start your camel ride to spend an over night on the desert cump with berber music and sund boarding.

Day 5: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley

We will rise early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara before making our way back by camels to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We’ll drive through the Saghro mountains We will take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: Dades valley – Roses valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas mountain – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley rose roses and cinema city of ouarzazate pasiing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the beginning of the XXth Century, it used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech, now one of the UNESCO heritage site. after that we will shift the way to cross high atlas mountains full of panoramic view and attractive berber villages all along the way till marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing

After breakfast in the riad , you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palacel. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport, End of the service.
