3 Days from Marrakech Fes Desert Tour

Day 1 : Marrakesh – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades valley.

Start your journey in Marrakech and traverse the dramatic Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. Admire the picturesque Berber villages along the winding road. Explore the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest in Morocco and a UNESCO matrimonial historical site. Enjoy lunch at the Kasbah and continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa.” Cross the road of a thousand Kasbahs, passing the fascinating sand castles and Kalaat Mgouna, the roses city. Arrive at your hotel in the heart of Dades Gorge.

Day 2 : Dades valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga.

After breakfast, drive through the Dades valley to witness the remarkable rock formation “the monkey toes” and visit the 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Return through the valley, enjoying panoramic views of mud Berber villages. Explore the Todra Gorge, walking under the 300m high red cliff. Continue to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch. Then, head to the village of Merzouga, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea before checking into your hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou forest – Ifrane – Fez.

We will wake up early in the morning,. to go on our camel trek to watch what will may. be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards,. you’ll peacefully camel trek back to your riad for breakfast. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes changing with the light as the day progresses, before continuing to Fes via Errachidia along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock,. and through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt.

Arrival at Zaida to enjoy a barbecue and a refreshing glass of mint tea then continue our journey to Azrou,. a berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains, before we stop to see the Barbarian apes in the famous Cedar forest. On the road to Ifrane “the French village” we stop for a picture or a drink then drive to your hotel in Fes where the tour ends.
